Lemon8 reportedly shares the same algorithm as TikTok. TikTok was banned from federal government devices for being a data breach security risk. Where there is smoke, there’s fire. Parent’s use your best judgement here.

Lemon8 is a competitor to Instagram. While Lemon8 is not a new app, it is new to the United States and is now trending as the number one in the App Store for lifestyle apps. It should come as no surprise and according to the New York Times story, TikTok paid influencers to promote Lemon8. TikTok influencers are currently encouraging followers to download and use Lemon8. One influencer described Lemon8 as if “Instagram and Pinterest had a baby,”
